所谓GMC，就是通过第三方权威机构以生产能力、制造规模、信誉等多项指标来认证，认证通过后的供应商成为GMC会员。

The so-called GMC is certified by a third-party authoritative organization based on a number of indicators such as production capacity, manufacturing scale and reputation. After the certification, the supplier becomes a GMC member.

2005年3月16日颇为知名的国际贸易服务运营机构———环球市场集团正式推出了“环球制造商”的认证标志GMC，据称，这是国内首家由中介机构设立的制造商认证标志。
